About this Tour

Welcome to this downtown Rawlins, Wyoming audio walking tour. As you continue through downtown, you learn about outlaws, pioneer trails, the Transcontinental Railroad, and more.

As you follow the meandering route, hear stories of the wild west and the modern west in Rawlins and Carbon County. The tour shares the cultural and natural history of the region--featuring outlaws, prisoners, and wildlife. Enjoy the downtown murals, historical buildings, and the far-off views of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest.

This tour includes the Continental Divide, Victory Baptist Church, Cattle Kate Mural, Rawlins City Hall, local museums, and the Train Depot Park.

Enjoy some time in Rawlins on your way east to Laramie and Cheyenne or west to Rock Springs and Green River. And if you want to learn more, the tour will point you in the right direction to the Carbon County Visitor Museum sponsored by the Carbon County Visitor Council.
