Stroll through the historic downtown of Meeteetse, WY a quaint community in Park County, Wyoming. This audio tour offers a unique glimpse into the history, charming downtown, and beautiful natural surroundings of Meeteetse.

Go back in time with Wyoming Senator, Al Simpson, and community member, Aspen Eldredge, as your guides. Imagine Meeteetse at a time when ranchers, outlaws and ladies of the evening walked the streets. You’ll hear stories behind the well-preserved buildings and be introduced to the colorful characters that called Meeteetse home.

On this tour, you’ll hear about:

·     Doc Bennett, the six-shooting, hard-drinking, town doctor and two-time mayor of Meeteetse
·     Butch Cassidy, who served his only known jail sentence in Meeteetse
·     Bronco Nell, a bold frontier woman who ran freight and rustled cattle

Along the way you’ll visit:

·     A memorial to Amelia Earhart, who was building a cabin in the Absarokas when she disappeared
·     The Belden Museum featuring the photography of western frontier photographer, Charles Belden
·     The Bridge over the Greybull River, which helped cement Meeteetse’s status as a town
