About This Tour
If you enjoy ghost stories, you’ll love this tour of spirit-studded Savannah, one of the most haunted cities in America. Savannah residents love their legends as much as their history—or maybe even more. As you walk along the cobblestone streets of this beautiful, historic city, you’ll hear some of its residents’ most favorite local legends. Be ready to encounter frightful tales of phantoms, spirits, monsters, and more!

They say that some homes in Savannah were built directly over the vanquished troops of the 1779 Siege of Savannah, with the trenches filled in with earth—and the bodies still inside. So it’s no wonder that “dark energy” and shadow figures are often reported in the vicinity.

Civil War casualties haunt Savannah, as well, some carrying their own amputated limbs. And the spirits of enslaved people lend an icy chill to old passages throughout the city.

Other paranormal activities are tied to notorious locals with simmering grudges, and unwitting visitors who were kidnapped and dragged out to sea to serve on ship crews.

Each ghost story you encounter in this tour will reveal a fascinating aspect of this city’s dramatic history and culture. Keep in mind, though: This experience is not for the faint of heart!

Tour Highlights Include:

·  Sorrel Weed House, where a tragic love triangle unfolded
·  Hamilton-Turner Inn, inspiration for the true-crime novel and movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil; also the possible inspiration for Walt Disney’s Haunted Mansion
·  Colonial Park Cemetery, the haunting grounds of the legendary 7-foot-tall spirit Rene Asche Rondolier
·  The 17Hundred90 Inn, home of Enigmatic Anna, who rattles pots and stares down the staff
·  The Kehoe House, the site of a gruesome childhood accident
·  Factors Walk, the site of mysteries both solved and unsolved
·  And much more!
